Podcast Script

Hi everyone, it’s me, Emily the creator and author of this Homemade Baby Food blog. Thank you for tuning in to my first video podcast. I want to take a few minutes to tell you a little about myself and tell you about the benefits of making your own baby food. I am the mother of one beautiful, and energetic daughter, and am also a full time working mom in the military. So I know how hectic life can be and how stressful expecting your first child can be. As a first time mom, I read countless books, scoured the internet, and researched the latest tips for raising a baby. Ultimately, I soon found that my gut was the best resource when it came to advice, and returning to the basics helped me keep my sanity. That’s what this blog is designed for, to inspire parents to return to the basics of holistic, natural, homemade baby food. Whether you’re a parent of 5 of expecting your first little one. And I’m not saying that we all have to become Martha Stewart, after all, we are still real parents, with jobs, and families, and lives. But, with a little preparation, know-how, and encouragement from one another, it can be a fun, rewarding experience to make your own baby food for your little one. Making homemade baby food allows you to introduce only the ingredients you want with no added preservatives or sugars, and in appropriate portions. Not too much, not too little. And, as your little one grows, like mine, at 2 years old, she is eager to help make her own food and has a love of healthy eating and eating her fruits and vegetables. I hope you all are as excited as I am to dive into some fresh bananas and avocados and learn some great recipes for homemade, natural baby food!
